Solar PV Monitoring Project | Middlesbrough Environment City
Middlesbrough Environment City approached Enviro UK Consultants Ltd seeking advice and support in swapping out standard Solar Photovoltaic generation meters and replacing these with web monitored GSM Solar PV meters on a local Energy Efficiency partnership project in Middlesbrough.
The purpose of these meters was to enable Middlesbrough Environment City and their Energy Partnership in Middlesbrough to be able to track performance of the Solar Panels, read the meters remotely for the Feed in Tariff and also to be able to measure the amount of CO2 being saved through the projects. Enviro UK Consultants Ltd managed the project from start to finish which involved the following:-
- Liaising directly with domestic tenants to book in the works
- Installing the meters using our qualified and experience electricians
- Ensuring the work was carried out with minimum disruption to tenants
- Ensuring that the newly installed GSM meters were picking up the remote signals and sending these back to the central portal
- Ensuring that the web based portal was operating satisfactorily
- Training the users on how to operate the web based portal, obtain readings and check performance of panels
- Assisting Middlesbrough Environment City in ensuring that all meter changes were advised to the appropriate Utility companies for Feed in Tariff purposes.
Enviro UK Consultants Ltd continue to support this project as a project management company, assisting with any programme issues or maintenance requirements.
